Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 14, 2025
Invent-X ("we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the App.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App depends on the content and materials you use, and the actions you take, and includes:
Personal Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your username, email address, and password. We store passwords using secure hashing techniques.
Usage Data: We may collect information related to your progress and activity within the App to provide the progress tracking feature when you are logged in.
Advertising Identifiers and Data (with your consent): If you grant us permission through the operating system prompt (e.g., Apple's App Tracking Transparency - ATT framework on iOS/iPadOS), we may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA for Apple devices, Android Advertising ID for Android devices). Our advertising partner, Google, may also collect information as described in their policies (see Section 4).
2. How We Use Your Information
Having accurate information permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the App to:
Create and manage your account.
Allow you to track your progress within the App.
Deliver targeted advertising via Google Mobile Ads, if you have consented to tracking/personalized ads.
Request feedback and contact you about your use of the App.
Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the App.
Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:
By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including data storage, hosting services, and account management.
Advertising Partners (with Consent): If you have provided consent, we share information such as your device's advertising identifier with our advertising partner, Google (using Google Mobile Ads), to facilitate the delivery of personalized advertisements. Google's use of this data is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not share your email, username, or password with advertising partners.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-Party Services & Advertising
Google Mobile Ads: We use Google Mobile Ads to show advertisements within the App. Google may use cookies, web beacons, advertising identifiers (like the IDFA or Android Advertising ID), and other tracking technologies to collect information about your activity across different apps and websites to provide personalized advertising.
You can learn more about how Google collects and uses data and how to control your information by visiting Google's Privacy & Terms site: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
You can manage your Google ad personalization settings through Google's My Ad Center: https://myadcenter.google.com/
Tracking Consent (App Tracking Transparency): On devices running iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, or later, we are required to ask for your permission via the AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) framework before collecting data used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. The prompt will explain why we are requesting tracking permission (primarily for personalized advertising). If you do not grant permission ("Ask App Not to Track"), we cannot access your device's advertising identifier (it will be zeroed out), and we will not track you as defined by Apple for advertising purposes. You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your device's Settings (Privacy > Tracking).
5. User Choices and Controls
Account Information: You may review or change the information in your account or terminate your account at any time by logging into your account settings or contacting us using the contact information provided below. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases.
Advertising Preferences:
Tracking Consent (iOS/iPadOS): You can enable or disable tracking permission for this App at any time in your device's Settings (Privacy > Tracking).
Advertising Identifier Reset/Deletion (Android): You can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID in your device's Settings (usually under Privacy > Ads or Google > Ads).
Google Ad Personalization: You can control Google's ad personalization settings via Google's My Ad Center linked above. Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will no longer see ads, only that they may be less relevant to you.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. We hash passwords and take reasonable steps to secure the personal data you provide to us. However, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.
7. Data Retention
We will retain your account information (username, email, hashed password) and associated usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services and track progress. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Information collected for advertising purposes via advertising identifiers (if consent was given) is subject to Google's retention policies. When we no longer need the personal information collected, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
8. Children's Privacy
Invent-X is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted.
